    Description

    "MATS AND ME: WAVES FLIGHT ATTENDANTS ON MILITARY AIRCRAFT" is a subject where next to nothing has been written. In 1946, a 10-day course was established at VR-3, NAS Patuxent River, Maryland to train Navy WAVES to be flight attendants on Navy transport aircraft. The purpose was to replace male flight orderlies who were getting discharged from the Navy after WWII. The author was one of them and she has signed the book. Great little-known history!
    Book is softback published in 2003. It is in EXCELLENT CONDITION, is INSCRIBED and SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR, measures 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and contains 144 pages.
