DESCRIPTION:
For sale is this very well cared for and well-preserved,
mid to late 20th century
Tiffany and Company,
cut and polished glass, crystal, clear glass ice bucket,
with side lifting/carrying handles and an acid-etched maker's mark
'Tiffany & Co.'
on the smooth glass baseplate. The ice bucket was found in a well-appointed,
southern New Hampshire
fine estate and had stainless steel tongs inside it on a glass shelf over a bar in the recreation room of the sprawling home. The piece is heavy and substantial,
weighing nearly 3 1/2 pounds
and
measuring 5 3/4" in height by 7 1/4" in width (including the handles.)
The exterior or interior of the crystal glass ice bucket doesn't suffer from any noticeable abrasions, edge flea-bites, scuffs, hairline cracks or any imperfections. It's clear that this original and authentic
Tiffany and Company
piece was well-cared for and stored in a safe place, where it was seldom used and likely put into play for special occasions or during the holidays, when entertaining takes front and center stage when having guests, family and friends over for seasonal soirees, dinners and get-togethers.
