    This book contains stories of the 499th Bomb Group which flew combat mission with B-29 heavy bombers against Japan during the latter days of WWII in the Pacific. This Group was part of the 20th Air Force which flew missions from the Marianas Islands. In total, 25 aircraft were lost during these missions and 25% of the original crews were lost.
