  • Condition: This 1943-47 storybook doll is in excellent condition. Her bisque head, torso and legs are one piece, with jointed bisque arms. There are no chips or crazing. She has the gold "Friday's child" tag on her wrist. On close inspection I found holes on the back of the net over-skirt. The holes are not obvious in the folds of the net and still she displays nicely. There are no holes in the satin skirt. The labeled box is soiled and has some splits on the box and the lid. A name, written in pencil, is on the lid. The "giving" package the doll originally held is missing. The mark is incised: Story Book Doll USA.
