ULTRA-MINT NANCY ANN “MAY” BISQUE DOLL, with VINTAGE BIRTHDAY CARD
This doll is absolutely gorgeous! And she has everything: box, wrist tag, brochure, and a wonderful original vintage birthday card with “Ann Marie” written on the envelope.
“A Flower Girl For May” wears a super-crisp white organdy dress with pale blue taffeta bodice and pale blue taffeta underskirt. The organdy is pristine white and very starched – totally just the way she came from the factory. There is a beautiful white May flower attached to the skirt with a baby blue ribbon bow. Under the dress she wears long muslin pantaloons. She has a large straw hat in perfect condition that ties under her chin with a wide, baby blue French ribbon.
She comes in her original box with the correct label, her original gold wrist tag, the factory brochure, AND…..the original birthday card addressed to “Ann Marie” and signed inside, “JoAnn and James.” What a sweet bit of history to go with this doll.
The doll itself is totally mint, with one of the most perfect wigs you will find. The face is painted with large blue eyes, long eyelashes, rosy cheeks, and rosebud mouth. No chips, cracks, crazing or damage of any kind anywhere on the doll.
This doll is SO PERFECT, I think she was hardly ever touched, and was certainly never on display where she would be exposed to the light or to dust. I’ve owned over 100 Nancy Ann dolls, and this is one of the MOST MINT dolls I’ve ever seen. She is worth every penny!
